Nothing out of the ordinary. Both hoses are soft too.

I have not replaced the water pump yet. How can I determine if that is faulty now?? Why did my mechanic not mention this??

if the water pump is broken it will still pump water as long as the car is moving but if you make a complete stop it won't work...
its been a while but i'm pretty sure that's how that works...

After that all the new stuff was replaced it still occasionally overheat while stopped at a light and then when I would go it would start cool off again or when i turned on the heater.

I am sick of this ****.

Is it the head gasket?? There is no white smoke out the muffler.

Any car experts please help. Pm me if needed, thanks

Far from an expert but have owned a few Hondas over the years.

From everything I've read though you may have changed your thermostat it may still be faulty its happened twice to me.

Water pumps usually leak when they go out. So I don't think so.

I'd like to think you've changed the timing belt with that kind of mileage.

If not plan on it if your gonna keep the car.

            Faulty thermostat is my guess.

If you had work done by a competent mechanic why not bring it back and tell them issue still exists ? Good luck !

I do need to replace the timing belt and water pump asap.

I told him and he said it is a because the head must have a slight leak, for which I find as BS.

What's up with the water pump ?

Sounds like you got a beat on it.

If you had head issues you'd know it and if you don't change the timing belt you will. Good luck !

That's weird. Almos sounds like you still have some air in the system.

                    I say this ^^^

                    faulty thermostat
                    or
water pump (not all water pumps leak when damaged)

Seems like a faulty water pump or possibly some sort of leak/bleed-in. What does your exhaust look like? Is it dark or thick white smoke? How is the idle? Does it jump sporadically? Periodically check the levels of your oil or your antifreeze to see if it's depleting. If it is, then it's most likely a leak or a bleed in from a faulty seal.
