Anybody remember this guy?? His nickname was El Coloso. He beat Wilfredo Vazquez for the WBA SBW title and later also won the FW version of the title but lost it to Freddie Norwood, whom he also lost to once before. Made 7 defenses of the first title. The reason why I noticed him is because he beat WV and because he's one of the few Venezuelan world champs, especially in the 80's and 90's.

I remember him and recorded his bouts. He was a pretty good boxer and was tall and rangy. He gave up his super bantamweight title to go after Vazquez who had won the featherweight title. Vazquez opted to fight Hamed rather than fight Cermino again and Norwood beat Cermino for the vacant title.
