  • Current Elite Fighters in Boxing. What is your list??!

The word "elite", like a P4P list, is highly subjective and therefore debatable. I consider as elite the fighters who have separated themselves from the pack with their achievements and/or who are, or at least appear to be, head and shoulders above the others. Having too many close fights (wins or losses) disqualify you from being elite in my opinion.
My criterias to define elite fighters would be a mix between 1)Achievements 2)Skills 3)Domination (you have to dominate good fighters clearly and only close fights against fellow elite fighters are acceptable).

I thought it would be interesting to see lists of boxers that boxing fans here regard as elite.

    160...HW:

    Wlad
    Ward
    Golovkin

    140...154:

    Floyd
    Pacquiao
    Bradley
    Marquez

    122...135:

    Rigondeaux
    Mikey
    Gamboa
    Donaire

The bolded part is why I think Tim Bradley shouldn't be on the P4P list.

Bradley has dominated many good boxers: Alexander, Peterson, Abregu. These fights were not even close. He is a multi-dimensional fighter and he holds a win over Marquez.

His only close win is Provodnikov.

Are you talking about the "win" or the loss? And Pacquiao is an elite fighter.

            Floyd
            Ward

            Pacquiao
            Marquez
            Wlad

Those are the only truly elite fighters in the sport. If we're talking elite for a division, I'd post different, but elite within the context of the entire sport? That's it.
