Yo, here are a few Youtube videos from the 83 Saint Louis Golden Gloves. My pops is fighting Tony Martin (who went on to be no too bad as a pro). My dad is in the white. It was a good fight, they went at it. Tony caught my dad with a nice shot that sent him down. But pops got up and went to war with him! My dad won the fight. But let me know what you think!

Yea, he was one of the best fighters in the nation during his time. I wasn't around obviously, but alot of people that know him, spoke highly of him. One of those guys posts on this site, IceMan John Scully.

I could say he prolly surprised everyone after that shot of his ooponent, he just went up and let go with much gusto , hence the win!

Yea, he used to always tell me about this fight and how he got caught with a good shot and got up and went at it. But it was good to actually see it.

Yea, he did, but didn't have too many pro fights. He had an upper respiratory problem. That hindered him alot.
