This. Say what you want about Garcia, but he cleaned out 140 before he moved up. He took out Khan, Peterson, and Mathysse before he moved up, among other good names. That's not a bad lineup.

Thurman is getting a bunch of undue praise merely for being exciting, though I do think he may be a top level talent. He just needs to prove it. I also think that it's rather lame that he also called Garcia out more than once, and is now calling him an easy fight because Mayweather may be scouting him. In any case, the Porter fight will tell us a lot about him IMO.

I said the same thing but the way the Thurman vs Porter fight is being promoted I think Floyd may have more interest in that seeing that Danny will face Berto cause everyone knows Floyd fights in May and September for the past few years plus he will look at the money I do see Danny as a money fight but he needs to step up and should of faced Crawford Postol and Provodnikov before he moved up them fought Broner

but his options now is Brook vs Vargas winner and the winner of the Thurman vs Porter fight or Spence if Danny got those wins with ease then he would be the best Welterweight out there but those are the options Floyd would have as well but I don't see Thurman or Danny being hard fight for Floyd maybe Brook but I think Floyd beats any of the top guys right now and he could even still take the Golovkin fight that could do very big numbers if he moved to 154 but let's see what happens in that Thurman vs Porter fight first

Floyd is 40 years old, clearly a shell of himself. Yeah, he's still capable of beating top fighters but it won't be by anything spectacular. The commentators squirt their sperm everytime he lands a grazing, weak punch. They make it out to be something it's not, something he's not anymore.

With that being said, Thurman shouldn't be stuck on fighting a passed it fighter. They were from two different eras and he missed the boat. Case closed, right?

Not when Mayweather is still good enough to beat him, and he stands to make a ton of money fighting him. If Mayweather came back for a 50th fight he'd undoubtedly be #1 at 147, and be the most money that anyone could make anywhere near that class. There's literally no downside to Thurman fighting him, except taking a loss that would be easily written off anyway.

Yet Brook is the only one who's beaten an undefeated top level opponent... Danny has some good wins but those guys had already been beaten by other people so let's not make it like he's a world beater or something...

Thurman makes perfect sense...Floyd would come back to fight Danny because he'd represent the least challenge of the 3 guys...

Why would Mayweather comeback for Thurman, of all people ?

If Thurman loses to Porter, he will have to start from the bottom, having never really established himself anyway.

But yea, I can't see him coming back for Garcia either.

I don't see Mayweather coming back to fight any of the younger guys. It'll be Pacquiao in a rematch and/or a catch weight fight with GGG, or nothing.
