SRL was plain better at every facet of the game. Not to mention a better resume and the naturally bigger fighter

73-1 is shot??? Then add in what Duran did after Duran/Leonard 2. Shot? Hearns is destroying everyone at 147, then when he faces Leonard he's weight drained? Rubbish

Duran wasn't shot - he was 29 years old; but it's true that he didn't have the power (the hands of stone) at welterweight that he had at lightweight.

Duran got the crown in the early 70s beating and cleared out the division. About 2 years before the SRL fight he moved up to welterweight fought some 6 fights before taking on SRL. Duran was not shot.

A weight drained Hearns!? Where did you get that from? Hearns was a career welterweight fighting at welterweight - there was no catchweight here. As far as I know Hearns never had trouble making weight. Just went to boxrec - Hearns weighed in at 145 - that's not a weight drained fighter.

Liking Floyd is one thing. Good for you. But pretending other fighters weren't as good as they were to make Floyd look better in your eyes is another.

Undefeated has little to do with it. It's what your eyes tell you if you know what you are looking at. Anybody who is knowledgeable about boxing can watch a few of Ray's best fights and a few of Floyd's best fights and then compare the two fighters to each other for speed, skill, stamina, gameness and toughness and all other assets that make a fighter good or great. If you have only seen one of the two fighters fight but not the other then you really aren't qualified to say who's the best. I saw both Ray and Floyd fight many times and I think in their primes they were about equally good. Mayweather had a much longer prime. Ray was great until about age 32 and went down hill fast after that. Mayweather is 37 and still seems as good as ever. Floyd was more consistent with a good fight every single time while Ray had a few fights were he was not at his best even in his prime.

Floyd never fought Duran, Hagler or Hearns. We could end it there.

And Ray wasn't no b.itch, he would sit in the middle of the ring and go to war with you. That's just the kicker.
