  • Comments Thread For: Team Brook Fire Back at Clottey's Fight Refusal Claims

    Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn immediately confronted former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey’s tweet about a possible bout with Kell Brook by revealing he has email proof that Team Clottey stated that the ‘Grand Master’ can no longer make 147lbs. Clottey was claiming that Brook turned down a potential fight between the two of them.

          Wouldn't surprise me either at least not for his next fight.

          He needs to though, we know he's better than domestic and European level. We won't be able to really gauge how good he really is until he fights some real class opposition.

                    If I remember correctly, the viewing figures were 440k for the fight - which broke the record.

                    Off Twitter;

                    Congrats @EddieHearn @SpecialKBrook . Saturday night was the highest rating boxing show in Sky history, peaking at 440k during main event.
