Ali, Mayweather, Tapia, Tyson, etc...
Well there would definitely need to be a more PC stance taken with certain things (Like the anti-gay stuff Devon Alexander said recently or basically something Tyson Fury says every other month), but I believe most would conform & honestly its a small price to pay for the upside of having the best fight the best month to month like what happens in the UFC or have the best compete against the best like what happens in all these other mainstream leagues. I could really give a f#ck if certain guys would need to tone **** down a lil or would occasionally get suspended for going ape**** on twitter.

And it seems like people are already trying to do that sorta stuff anyway so it might be here soon without a league. Believe Mayweather has been called before the NSAC a few times over random outside the ring things & iirc the WBC fined or banned Adrien Broner for one of his can man tirades.

      I'm not really sure.

People say stuff like "the average person can't even name 3 boxers".

      I can't name:
      A single current football player
      A single current soccer player
      A single current basketball player
      A single current baseball player

I know of uh... Joe Montana and that guy who married Posh Spice

Doesn't mean those sports aren't mainstream. I just don't care about grown men chasing bouncy balls around. Some people feel that way about boxing. It's still a big sport.

        Exactly. This sums it up.

Seems like people WANT to be boxing fans but don't know where to find it. When it is made accessible and promoted properly it generates mainstream interest.
That's funny because MMA fans call MMA a "fringe sport" because 90% of the fighters just earn average livings. Relatively few are filthy rich or in destitute poverty. They think boxing is the pinnacle, where a true champion can earn unlimited income without a league controlling him. The grass is always greener on the other side.

They're individual sports, you're going to have some financial outliers, but this isn't a determining factor for popularity.
