Therefore, Canelo should've gave Cotto until the middle of Febuary to agree to a fight.

Maybe Cotto's demands were too much. It sounds like Oscar tried hard to get Cotto to fight but Cotto didn't want the fight anymore than Mayweather wants to fight Pacquiao. Canelo and Pacquiao are big stars and there is only some much unfair BS they will put up with. They can still make damn good money fighting other fighters than Cotto and Mayweather. Canelo will find a good opponent and he will make lots of money. If he loses some money fighting on the same day as Mayweather maybe it's worth it to him to cost Mayweather some money. If they have to choose most Mexicans would choose to watch Canelo fight a good fighter rather than watch Mayweather fight any fighter including Pacquiao. Canelo-Floyd broke all records and made much more money than Floyd-Cotto did. Canelo brings in the money and he will do fine without Cotto who didn't want to fight him anyway.Comment

All I'm saying is there is no Dam reason for him to set a deadline especially so early. Maybe February so that there's still time to negotiate if floyd still hasn't made a decision. He just took his biggest payday for being so immature not wanting to wait a week or 2. Also you say cotto don't wanna fight canelo why because he's waiting to see what happens with floyd and pac? You know damn well if you were cotto and you believe you might get another crack at floyd if negotiations between him n pac don't work you'd wait for the outcome also. It's the smart thing to do legacy wise and monetary wise. Canelo acted impulsively, he could've negotiated with someone else at the same time. The deadline is stupid. Canelo is at fault for acting like a baby. At least let negotiations finish.
The negotiations didn't stall, they were on going, but Canelo actin like a diva. If they stalled and Cotto wasn't budging that would be one thing, but this did not happen.
When you look at the way Canelo fought against Floyd, you can see he must be very dumb. Trying to outbox Floyd, instead of trying to KO him, lol. At least Cotto tried to win.Comment

Start negotiating being the scenes looking for another opponent incase the cotto fight falls through. It's a good thing that canelo is taking the mexican date/day because it puts pressure on floyd mayweather to fight pacman or someone really good.
If floyd doesn't he will fail with viewers and money income and will be seen as even more of a coward.
