Thomas had 5 bouts at 154 and 4 at 160 after his first Ray Leonard fight. Prior to him challenging Hagler for the Middleweight Title.
The fact is he couldn't make 147 anymore!
All the big welters moved up to 54 and 60 and beyond because they were all over 5'10' and made 147 easily until they matured, fighters mature it would be nice if some fans would too.

You're a liar. Hearns fought at 154, went to 160 jumped to 175 and then came back down to 160 and later went back to 175. He didn't have to do that. You're protecting a coward.

Calling people you don't know cowards and liars seems to be who you are!
Another brave lil' ***** in the safety of your mommies house?

I guess that makes Hagler, Monzon, Pryor, and Tzu and a few hundred other champions who never moved up to a heavier weight class a bunch of cowards too. By the way what's holding Canelo up from fighting this coward GGG at the 160 pound weight limit middleweight champs are supposed to fight at? A smart fighter fights at his best weight. Fighting at a weight that is too heavy for a fighter isn't brave. It's stupid.

Golovkin barely turned 34 on April 8th. Pro since 2006.

                  Comparisons...

Kovalev is 33 years old and has been fighting at LHW his whole professional career (2009)

Viktor Postol is 32 years old and has been fighting at 139-143ish (I guess different standards in Ukraine?) since 2007

Andre Ward is 32 years old and has only recently moved above 168 summer of 2015. He's been professional since 2004, and was also a Light Heavyweight amateur boxer (165-187 lbs range).

Takashi Uchiyama is 36 years old and has been only a super featherweight range since 2005.

Guillermo Rigondeaux is 35 years old, has been a pro since 2009, and has only fought at super bantamweight.

Carl Froch retired around 36 years old (about a 12 year professional), and was basically a career 168 lbs fighter

Andre Dirrell is 32 years old and basically another career 168 lbs fighter. Pro since 2005. Pretty similar circumstances for his younger brother Anthony Dirrell, who is 31 years old and a pro since 2005 as well.

James DeGale is a 30 years old pro since 2009 and a career 168 lbs fighter.

Marco Huck is 31 years old, career cruiserweight. Pro since 2004.

Shinsuke Yamanaka is 33 years old, career bantamweight. Pro since 2006.
