i ****ing love the olympics. i dont think ill be leaving the house till they're over.

lets talk about our aussies in here. not limited to boxing

first off.. how poor are we going so far?

usually we smash the pool at least.. if it wasnt for stephanie rice we'd have one bronze and that's it.

good old stephanie rice in the 400IM. a good sort too.

michael diamond the woman basher couldnt get us a medal in the shooting.

our 3m springboard divers got ripped by the sounds..

our boxers are getting rolled

our gymnasts are going alright but there's no prize for a respectable fifth.

i really dont think we're going to have much to brag about this year.

i hope all you guys are watching the basketball.

Australia will win a lot of women's events in the pool and the relays. A couple of medal prospects in the cycling, rowing, sailing, horsey stuff, etc. Same kind of posh sports Britain hope to get medals from.


It's just the likes of Phelps dragging down Aussie medal chances in the pool. You'll still get a fair few golds.

yeah our ladies arent bad. jones should be good for a few. tricket, lenton etc can swim a bit.

****ing thorpey.. if he didnt put away his swimmers to go be a raging poofter we'd at least have one respectable swimmer in the blokes.

ill be surprised if hackett even medals in the 1500.

our opals might go alright but lauren jackson and penny taylor both have to play well.

our equestrian team is alright is it? hmm it would go against my principles to watch the **** but i may have to.

and how do you rate it against spitz's 7?

he didnt have the 50 free to get the 8th..

but even if phelps gets 6 golds id rate it a comparable achievement.. in this new age of professionalism all round domination should be next to impossible

I think there are too many swimming events.


Phelps looks like a good bet for a lot of golds, tiredness and relay partners may cost him though.

i definitely agree with the too many medals for swimming..

but the real question. who would you rather ****? amanda beard or stephanie rice?
