I was in Atlanta, GA today for business.
The television was on, and being the hardcore fan that I am, I heard the words "world boxing champion..." and turned to the TV to see what was going on.
It was a political ad. *_*
One female candidate who is running for Mayor was standing on the exact spot where Vernon Forrest was killed. She is apparently running on a anti-crime platform, and is using Vernon's death as a key point to highlight the incumbent mayor's failings in fighting crime.
Now, I have zero - ZERO - vested interest in who is, was, or will be Atlanta's mayor. But I did not think it was a classy ad, and I was disappointed that Vernon's legacy is being framed for one candidate's political gain.
I was interested in what you guys think.
