  • Why fans bash Cotto so much??? He did fight ALMOST everyone and was competitive even in his losses.. I put Cotto on Maywathers league.

mayweather over all the better fighter and resume. and i hate mayweather.
Even that's an insult to Gatti. Gatti was a 2 division champion with numerous championship wins. Foreman was a one defense champion with only that one win over anyone decent. They don't even compare.

People list weird wins like Foreman for Cotto, and then flat out ignore wins over much better champions. That's the bias that comes with being Floyd though. Always has.

Cotto fought a prime Pac, Marg, Canelo, Martinez (pretty much shot and injured but most had Cotto as underdog) and a better version of Mosley (than both Pac and May). He officially holds only 2 wins from that grouping, although imo he beat Canelo too.

Mayweather fought a prime Castillo, Corrales and...I dunno, Judah?

Cotto has the better resume but Floyd has the wins.
Why are you listing common names, but only adding them to Cotto's resume and not Floyd's, especially when Floyd beat them and Cotto got spanked?

That's the definition of an utterly blind, absurd bias.

Floyd fights Canelo and Pac, beats both, they don't get added to his resume. Cotto fights Canelo and Pac, loses to both, they get added as part of his resume.

If you read what I wrote, I said Cotto fought prime fighters then named them. The commonality of it doesn't matter. What does Mayweather beating an aged Mosley have on Cotto beating a much better version?

Mayweather although champ in the same division, dragged Canelo down to 152, whereas Cotto fought him at what has become Canelo's best weight. Etc etc.

You really must learn to read.

          • now cotto has a better resume than Mayweather...bwahahahahahaha.....the dudes retired...give it a rest

Mayweather has won more titles and defeated more champions than Cotto...won titles in more divisions, more lineal and alphabet titles

Floyd is 18-0 vs champions or former champions. With all due respect how can miguel come close to that?

Also, its not just about looking at 8-10 guys out of roughly 40 fights each one has had. Floyd has been defending a championship belt or trying to win a championship in every fight he has fought since 1998 except Mitchell, JMM, and Shane.
Cotto doesnt have a better resume than Mayweather and anyone who believes otherwise is just bitter the man didnt take a loss

Mayweather has the edge in every statistical category and beat his best competition, unlike Cotto who lost

Floyd will struggle against Torres, Clottey, Abdulaev, Margarito. Floyd will lose by KO before rd 12 to Pacquiao and maybe Margarito(with Concrete) also.
...then why didnt he beat Pac genius!!!

you smoking some good dope if you think Cotto has a better resume...you do know losses count against you right?

Abdullaev was a hype job just like Margarito who lost to every elite fighter he faced

no way does cotto have a better resume, you Mayweather detractors be reaching

Cotto lost to canelo and pac

Mayweather beat them both...Cotto was never lineal at 147....Mayweather was 2 times

Cotto never unified at 154, floyd did

Mayweather won more titles and beat more champions

Mayweather won titles in more divisions, won more lineal titles, beat more opponents considered top 3 in the weight

This place was (and is) utterly ridiculous.
shows you how bitter some are......anyone with common sense knows Cooto's resume isnt better than Mayweathers.

Cotto was the only fighter to look like he belonged in the ring with Floyd in the past decade. Everyone else got embarrassed. Their fight was a pretty even affair until cotto gased out after the 8th. Cotto blew his load and Floyd took over. Cotto was not outclassed but outconditioned. Or out iv'd depending on your proclivities. And cotto was trained by an amateur coach at that. Lol.
A well conditioned cotto under roach would wreck havoc upon Floyd. Would he win? I don't know I would love to see the rematch to find out.
that fight wasnt even and cotto didnt win a round until like round 7...he was lucky to win 3 rounds and the fight was not close

he got outclassed in 10 out of 2 rounds

his resume is as good as mayweathers....he lost to fighters mayweather beat, and mayweather beat fighters he couldnt ever beat.

Mayweather won more titles, defenses, the whole 9

you are on acid if you think cotto resume is better
