  • If You Were Rooney Would You Leave?

Wayne Rooney put in an amazing performance tonight and scored too, but unlike Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009 he didn't get to lift the European cup and went home with a loser's medal.

Just like Ronaldo in 2009, there were rumours earlier this season that Rooney would be leaving United and that there were bids from Real and Man City on the table. Just like Ronaldo in 09 these rumours were buried and Rooney signed a contract. Rooney's was a five year contract while Ronaldo's was a two year contract.

Would you leave if you were Rooney?

No. Wayne Rooney is loyal, unlike Ferrari crashing Ronaldo.

What for? It's not like he is part of a losing team. The #1 team in EPL and the #2 team in CL. Why would you leave that? Going to RM would be down grading. Sure you get to team with Ronaldo but you end up going to a #2 LL team and a average CL team.

If I was Rooney, I would just stay at MU. At least your winning.

Rooney had a cracking partnership with Ronaldo though.

It worked well for both of them and would challenge Barcelona with some serious firepower. Real have supplied the best challenge to Barca and Rooney would be goling to a team that has learned how to deal with Barca.

The only team that is better then the one he is in.. is Barca.. and they don't want him nor would he fit in.

Man United have won 4 titles out of 5

Made 3 UCL finals and won 1

                He wasn't amazing tonight.

He, like every other Utd player, was mostly out of his depth. Great goal, and it gave him a confidence which allowed him to have a better game than he normally has against brilliant opposition. He's come off a poor WC and 2/3 of a season.

One nice goal and a semi-decent performance against Barca does not give him the leverage to think he's better than Utd. He's on the level of that Utd side.

                  Nah.

But from an England stand point more of our top players need to play abroad. Rooney is easily our best player and probably the best best player England have ever had since I've watched footy.

lol, RM hasn't learned how to deal with Barca. That is impossible when they go down 3-0 and every RM player stops running and Ronaldo has to go all the way from forward to play goalie and then run all the way back up field to score a goal.

Rooney would be down grading. If he doesn't want to play MU anymore, he should go to MLS and raise the level of that league. Teach them how to play better soccer and become an international legend rather than England legend.

Manchester United -- to --> DC United.
