Shaq is one of the most dominant and intimidating players of all time.. only real way to stop him was at the free throw line. I do feel, like others have already said, that Kobe should have at least gotten one of those though. Everything is politics.

kobe was more valuable 1st round to conference finals because teams like blazers, spurs, kings, etc. had big men.

if it was playoffs mvp maybe kobe gets 01 and/or 02 for his performance in west playoffs.

kobe got 2 finals mvp 09 and 10.

as far as mvp media didn't like him at the time, they're the ones who vote. plus the rape case hurt too.

kobe is instrumental on 01-02.. but shaq is no pushover.. i think shaq posted 30 and 12 on 01 and 28/13 on 02.. as good as kobe was during those run, shaq is still a little better..
