Here's the thing ... the Palestinians & Hamas need to settle on a long-term goal collectively. If reclaiming Palestine is the long-term goal, then they need better planning and better execution. It is clear, that they do not have the man-power to get it done in the short term, but coupled with other enemies of Israel from neighboring Nation states, makes the possibility more realistic.

This isn't 1967, and Israel cannot fight the combined forces of Egypt under the control of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Syrian forces being fed supplies by Iran and Russia, without going nuclear.

Like stated, it will involve Nation states, but that is a path to a possible victory. Because with Egypt\Syria\Iran being forced into the conflict by the Palestinians and their indigenous sympathizers, will bring the major powers to bear down on the situation forcing a favorable solution for the Palestinians.

The US will be inclined to step in and make Israel, give a portion of the land back to the Palestinians just to keep the peace.

Firing rockets endlessly into Israel is the worst possible strategy ... Initiate a conflict between neighboring nation states and Israel, with resolution being a place\homeland for the Palestinians.

In this day and age ... Peace is not negotiated, it is established by war. Sadly!

I agree they should stay away from it but there is also a large amount of middle east based propaganda here.

That isn't how politics works. Basically the situation of the Palestinians is hopeless. A paradigm shift in international politics is the only thing that will change that. As long as the US is in the ascendency and Israel can do no wrong in America's eyes, there will be no change. And none of those countries will aid Palestine militarily. They will just use diplomacy amongst themselves, Israel, Turkey, and the US, and perhaps Russia in some instances, and nothing that much will change for the Palestinians. You realize that the Gaza Strip is a tiny piece of land? You know the West Bank is under occupation and continued colonization? This is a sort of ethnic cleansing.

The irony in this statement is crazy

"What we are doing is self defence," he said.

"What would you do in London if you would have 900 missiles aimed at your schools, at your homes, at your houses? Would you call it an escalation if you tried to stop it?

"We don't have any purpose to control Gaza or to go into Gaza.

"Basically our purpose is peace, their purpose is to destroy Israel. It is not an easy situation."
Wtf is he talking about Israel didnt even exist before and now hes saying they have no purpose to control gaza...yet they have taken practically the whole of Palestine

It's basically analogous to all the other colonial conquests throughout history, from the New World, to South Africa (the Dutch I mean), to beyond. And the mindset is also almost exactly the same.

Mature in enough in the sense of wanting a two-state solution. As it is the moderate palestinians have little say which leads nowhere at best.

You haven't got the slightest idea what you talking about. Saying that the eurozone was proof of the failure of socialism without any argument to support it whatsoever. Garbage poster.

                  Have a nice day. 'Sir'.

From the Palestinian's point of view ,this is basically the bottom line. For the 2 state concept to work there has to be enough land for 2 meaningful states. Israel is not going to give up the usurped occupied territories and that is very clear as they are being built out. Here Israel's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon explains why he considers Palestine has no claim to them

                    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGYxLWUKwWo

In his biased commentary he completely omits that the British promised the ENTIRE territory to be made into an Arab state in return for fighting and beating the Turks in WW 1. Look at the historical maps of Israel and ask yourself honestly if as an American because of some some mass murdering lunatic in Europe and some dubious historical claim made over 2000 years ago that you would accept having your entire population crammed into Texas and Florida while the rest of the States get usurped. In fact the American Indian's case to claim the States back is far stronger, more of them were killed than the Jews and there was no historical claims on the land from the Europeans. It is easy to criticize what the Palestinian's are doing but the truth is many of us if we were in the same situation would resort to violence in their circumstances.
