  • Iran ready to double enrichment - sources

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-20368030

I dont see why Iran would do something so provocative at this time. They are agitating the world.

A better question is why is this hitting the news now. These nuclear programmes don't ust happen overnight.

Iran claims to have peaceful uses in mind - and for a long time I gave them the benefit of the doubt - but power plants run on comparatively lowly enriched uranium, meaning the reasons to up centrifuge production and purity levels is incompatible with 'peaceful designs'.

The Israelis and the Arabs both think they want the bomb. It takes a lot to put Israel and the Arabs on the same foreign policy page.

Here's the thing about the Iran situation ... Iran signed the non nuclear proliferation treaty, which allows them to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

I have yet to see any concrete proof, from any nation or from the Nuclear watchdogs IAEA, stating that Iran has nuclear weapons or the material and means to produce a nuclear weapon -- Only speculative statements attributing intent. And speculating intent is always tainted by ulterior motives.

              Where is the actual proof???

Outside of the speculation and conjecture presented by the US and Israel, no one has verified Iran is in a position to produce weapons -- Not even Russia, who has been selling them materials and aiding Iran develop their program.

IMHO, post G.W.Bush and the Iraq debacle, everyone should be alarmed by the lack of transparency from the Government in this regard. If they have evidence ... present it to the public for inspection -- We are entitled.

No more BLIND trust can be afforded the US Government and especially Israel when it comes to starting wars. Because they both have a horrible history of fabrication and misrepresentation.

It best to check 10 times - agreed, but a nuclear Iran wholly recalibrates the power dynamic in the GME region.
