Laptop screen turns black

The screen turns black after a few minutes after I turn on my laptop. Only the screen is broke. I googled and it says press the on button for 60 seconds, it didn't work.
Any idea how to fix this?

press f8 during boot up and see if you can go into Safe mode or vga mode
