Many great heavyweights of the past such as Floyd Patterson, Rocky Marciano and Henry Cooper would be cruiserweights today.

There are some people fighting at heavyweight that should be at cruiserweight, such as Tomasz Adamek and Eddie Chambers, but they choose to fight at heavyweight for the bigger paydays.

But still the cruiserweight division has some talented and exciting boxers: Marco Huck, Rakhim Chakhkiev, Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Lateef Kayode, Troy Ross, Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, Mateusz Masternak and Ola Afolabi.

Who do you think is the best of the lot?
They fight at HW because their weight increased over time like EVERY OTHER WEIGHT DIVISION OUT THERE.

No. Adamek had a problem making 175, but he said he had no problem making 200 and was going up to HW because the networks wouldn't televise his fights at cruiserweight.

And Chambers was 202 for his last HW fight and still looked chubby. His best weight would be cruiserweight.

David Haye on the other hand is somewhat bigger than those guys and said he was "killing himself" to make 200, so what you said does apply to him.

                Good news.

Mormeck is a good name for Wlodarczyk's resume.

Mormeck made a lot of money against Wlad, why is he still fighting? He's done, there's no need for him to get his brain scrambled again.

Yo, missed this thread ye made mate!

I voted for Hernandez, because he beat Cunningham when he was the top cruiserweight. But I think there are 3, or 4 other guys who would be a 50/50 fight with him: Huck (although they both have said they will prolly never fight becuase they are close friends, and are both trained by Ulli Wegner), Lebedev, Afolabi, and Chakhiev. We saw Ross wasn't far behind Hernandez too. . . And if Chambers throws his hat in the mix, add him to that list too.

I think Chakhiev has the msot talent, and the most upside of anybody at cruiserweight right now.

There is such a wide range of styles in the division, and so many great fights to be made.
