nah, i'm just messin with you guys....to see your reaction. my son doesn't have down syndrome i remember you posting that though tracylee. my mom used to be a special ed teacher and I can't believe how much a single taunt from other kids would affect them greatly. it takes so much effort for them to feel they accomplished something only to be taken down by one insult from kids who sadly don't understand them.

(for some reason, I thought it was Big Pappy that I quoted on that ) Anyway, I have my kid taught that she doesnt use that term cause at school the kids call each other that all the time My 2nd cousin with the Fragile X is in the Special Olymipcs and it use to bug me when people made fun of the S.O's for that very reason. What comes easy to most of us is a major accomplishment to them. Matthew is always so damn proud when he competes well, and when his family praise him for it the look on his face is a real tear jerker. Those kids break hearts just cause theyre different from ohter kids as in the appreciate things differently and appreciate different things. Other kids take all those things for granted and just dont realize
