  • Comments Thread For: Delvin Rodriguez - Keeping Busy Until a Big Fight Comes

At 33 years old, Delvin Rodriguez doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to his place in the boxing world and how long he’ll be a part of it as an active participant. The way he looks at it, he needs to fight and he needs to be seen if he’s going to get another shot at a world title that has eluded him twice before.

He’ll do both this Friday, fighting Freddy Hernandez on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights at the Mohegan Sun Casino in his home state of Connecticut. It’s a fight, he’ll be seen by viewers across the nation, and he’ll stay busy until his opportunity arrives once again.

IMO Delvin is a fringe contender, a good club fighter that can do small main events...in no way is he an elite boxer & most top'47'#ers will beat him...I do hope he gets a shot, he's paid his dues, & ya never know if he can pull off an upset...

For what? So you can lay an egg like you did vs Trout?

Yeah, he has paid his dues but the truth is he just closed up like a damn shell when he got the chance against Trout. I mean dude didn't even let his hands go much. I was kind of disappointed to be honest. At least he could have made it a fight. So, with that being said he should have mentioned that he wants another chance to prove that he can be better. He is acting like didn't get a chance and blow it. Come on now....

          Big fight for what, Delvin

I was watching your fights Delvin, I saw you live at Madison Square Garden but when you really needed to step up especially when you got your shot vs Trout, you forgot all of sudden to fight, you scrub.

Had Rodriguez let his hands go or fought Trout like he did Wolak he could've had a chance at winning.
