  • tightening up the jaw

now i'm not talkin about my chin, i got a good chin, but it appears that when i get hit good in the jaw it pops out pretty easy.

i do not know if this is cause i might have my mouth open or cause my jaw joint is shot.

i crack my jaw alot and i know thats a problem and i need to stop.

so is there a way to strengthen one's jaw?

I'm not sure, Ben. Try talking to a bone and joint specialist. It may be along the lines of a shoulder that pops out of place. You might want to try a different mouth guard.

What I did when I was young, was to watch tv lying on my stomach, breathing through my mouth. I guess it made my jaw tough because I was NEVER knocked out by a punch . I did fracture my teeth by a punch, but it didnt affect me at the time. (It affected my wallet, a huge amount). I was put to sleep by a rear naked choke though.

Try it, I dont know if it works, but if you are asking how to, you might as well give it a try.

If it's like any other joint, once dislocated it's never the same because the ligaments are stretched.

You may just be susceptible to repeated dislocations, particularly if hit.

I would talk to specialist. Especially one that that deals with contact sports.
