    Featherweight prospect Oscar Valdez (1-0, 1 KO) will fight in America for the first time as a pro this Friday against Corben Page (4-4-1).

    Valdez, a two-time Mexican Olympian, has been preparing for the fight by sparring bantamweight titleholder Leo Santa Cruz (22-0-1, 13 KOs). Valdez-Page will be a part of Top Rank’s Jessie Vargas-Vito Gasparyan card at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas.

            any luck any footage is ever released?
            look forward to seeing valdez progress through the pros. hopefully both him and santa cruz have great careers down the line. both entertaining fighters.

                No, there is no footage. We don't tape sparring. But Valdez did very well. It was fun to watch this is from today sparring session...

                  it's all good, thanks for posting the pics!

                  how many rounds did/do they go? didn't they spar before? i thought i saw pictures of them sparring a couple weeks back. not sure if it's from the same session.

                    today was the third time they have sparred. they sparred 6 rounds. But today only 4 rounds( since valdez is fighting this week)
