Ive never filed my own taxes and have put it off long enough now. I put it off because I figured it was pretty pointless, obviously I still have to do it, because I'm only required to file for 1 month of my income last year due to me working overseas.
My question is, do I have to file both State and Federal taxes or just Federal? I see the TurboTax basic is selling for around $25 on Ebay, but its only for Federal taxes, you have to pay more for state.
Obviously it wouldnt be worth going to an accountant to do my taxes because my return will be bare minimum if any.
