Bradley is a huge JWW. He fought at JMW in the amateurs and even faced Berto in a very close war. And it's not like he's moving up from 140 to face Berto. If he looks good next month then Berto shouldn't get hell for it. I think Berto would lose anyways.

And Burner is right. Collazo moved up to 154, Cotto has the options of A Pac, Margo or Mosley rematch (which are all bigger fights than Berto), Abregu would be stupid after Bradley handles him, Williams and Floyd have the same manager as Berto so they can't fight, Arum dismissed him as a future Pacquiao opponent. Well maybe there's Clottey, but Bradley would be a much better fight and HBO hates Clottey now.

people often forget berto's first fights were at 160 and 54 and berto has fought dirrell twice in the ams (beating him once and earning a controversial points win the second time)

he's accustomed to fighting big guys but because of the professional boxing style his handlers proabably didnt see his chin holding up not to mention berto is only 5'7"

this is still some bs though, berto has had the wbc title since 2007 and has only fought guys smaller than him or who were beaten by legit top 5 WWs before he fought them

Nobody at 140 can touch Berto. He's way too strong, and I would argue faster than all of those guys. He's a good fighter, I just wonder about his chin. Which is why he's facing another guy who will have a hard time hurting him. (Urango is strong, but too slow to make a difference)

He may be faster and stronger but he has horrific technique thats his problem. If he fights in close he throws soft and has awful defense. If he fights outside he lunges in with wild shots which can easily be countered as everyone is either as fast as him or stronger than him in the case of Maidana, and all the WW's. But his footwork is so bad going backward you can literally jab him, he'll fall over and get an 8-10 round because he has no lateral movement.

Berto/DiBella have gone on record saying they were going after a Mosley or Cotto fight. Mosley seems to want to take on Mora to reevaluate and Cotto his a $ fight if gets the Pac or Margarito rematch. The only other thing Berto can do is sit out. They tried to hash out a rematch with Callazo and similar to what Winky Wright did with Jermain Taylor rematch Callazo made doing business difficult. Also Berto beat a quality Guy in Quintana. Bradley is no bum and I get the feeling by his recent actions That his team are not sure he will be able to make 140lbs safely in the future.
