there is little cultural difference between Russian and Ukrainian slavs. in Russia, there are many street scammers that's why people are wary of helping random strangers or they assume that person just lost a fight and needs to toughen the **** up for the next one.

Little? There are a lot of similarities yes, but there is an absolutely fundamental difference in attitude towards government and private property which makes them essentially polar opposites.

Think Canada and USA. Very similar yet very different...and ad in the fact that there are different languages, dress etc...
