You are either mentally ******ed or have been reading some seriously flawed disinformation.

There are only 2-3 state owned TV stations, which are pro-chavez obviously. The vast majority of the TV stations in Venezuela are privately owned and are anti-chavez.

Chavez has done a lot of good for his country, you cannot deny that. The poor people love chavez for a reason (free healthcare, education, better standard of living, etc etc etc).

Now of course, chavez has made a lot of mistakes on the way. But he is a lot better than what was before him.

I don't blindly follow chavez like some leftists do, I will criticize him where I feel fit, and praise him when he does good.

Hopefully he will continue to improve, but chances are he may not (if history teaches us anything).
      These are LIES....

Chavez has NOT improved the country. Every aspect of the Venezuela's economy has gone down. For a country that exports the most oil outside of the middle east, it has a 34% poverty rate.

The health care is a joke, how do I know this? Because I work for Venezuelans that were forced to move because of the poor conditions.

Actually the west (US) has been threatening him. Oh I suppose you forgot the Coup attempt to overthrow him which was led by the CIA???

Further, the US is massively building up military presence in latin america, determined to destabilize venezuela and latin america as a whole even further. Chavez is only reacting in a normal manner, which is to be prepared for what is to come.
How do you think Chavez got into power? He overthrew the govt, that's how. He killed many people to get where he is at.

Did the people vote yes or no?
Vote? hahaha, the voting is a farce. The reason the poor support him is the same reason the poor have supported Socialism everywhere, because they had nothing before and now are promised something. In the end, it's never delivered. We see how great of a place Cuba is. Because everyone is dying to get back in there....

Chavez lied, he cheated. he has done nothing that is fair. Everything he has done is by force and he is preaching one thing and doing another.

Sadly it doesn't appear that way.

Chavez' new "21st century socialism" has created a new layer of capitalists and the accumulation of wealth by a number of prominent political figures and businessmen alike, who have become millionaires while promoting “21st century socialism.”

Most true socialists I know don't believe Chavez is moving in the true direction of socialism, instead the country has many socialist elements and some state controlled sectors, but at the same time it still leaves room for capitalists to exploit workers and become rich.

That's far from being a truly socialist state.

I work for Venezuelans and read the news every single day. There are 2 privately owned tv stations Venevision, Globovision and they shut down RCTV.

Venevision executives were threatened and they have calmed the anti Chavez stuff. Globovision is being attacked every single day and RCTV was shut down.

You are mentally ******ed or just follow something like sheep.

It's not truly socialist by definition.

LOL yes and all these "Capitalists" are supporters of Chavez, people that work for him or are part of his regime.

Rich people exploiting the poor, seen this all too many times in this world under the disguise of Socialism.

Cuba is still poor for a number of reasons - the blockade by the West which severely cripples their growth, the fall of the soviet union and the lack of any real allies to assist with their growth and development.

Cuba is too small of an island and lacks the natural resources to be successful on it's own.

As for the voting in Venezuela, every time there is a vote outside parties overlook the process and every time they've reported voting has been perfectly fair.

Exactly, therefor Venezuela cannot be socialist by definition, which of course was my entire point.

                      You guys are hilarious.

100 million people get murdered in the name of communism.

But, but, but....... that wasn't true Marxism.

It just hasn't been done right.

Guess what? It'll never be done the way Marx (who BTW just happened to let 4 of his young kids starve to death) really wanted it.

But idiots like yourself want to ruin the whole world to keep trying.
