This right here. Floyd will not cave to his demands. I think Floyd on his own can do better numbers than Canelo on his own. Canelo is going to have to agree to not have this clause or he's not gonna get the fight he wants so badly.

Canelo has only been on Floyd's under-card twice, and now we're gonna pretend like he's the key to Mayweather's PPV success? Give me a break!

It would be very smart for Canelo to hold his ground. Floyd fights on cinco de Mayo against a hispanic opponent or a reason. Add Canelo to the mix and the fight will do big business guaranteed. You take Canelo off that card and he loses a great number of buys which is less in Floyd's pocket.

Canelo will make over a mill fighting on HBO the next week and you know HBO will be replaying the Floyd PPV from the week before so in actuality, Floyd will bring in many viewers to watch the Canelo card by serving as his undercard.

If Floyd truly intends to fight him, he has to step up or get punked by the young buck.

Canelo knows he's a major supporting act in the Guerrero/Floyd main event. He knows without him the event would not be as big. He wants to be paid accordingly, imho. And the money Floyd is offering doesn't jibe.

Read the entire post flamer...he's needed because nobody is convinced that Guerrero is a threat at Welter he's a Lightweight. Who's talking about his other PPV cards? Did you get distracted by thinking about Floyd in his robe?

Majority of casual fans will purchase the PPV on the strength of Mayweather alone. They will assume that whoever he's fighting is actually a worthy adversary that will make for a competitive fight, and Floyd will help build Guerrero up during the months leading up to the fight. Guerrero is no longer a LW, having just defeated Berto on HBO. IMO, Mayweather will do well with or without Canelo and doesn't need to cut any deals because he's the one in the driver seat.

hes a dumb ass, mayweather is trying to help his ass out and give him some exposure. He really dont deserve a mayweather fight because he hasnt beat anybody good. Guerro just beat berto which is why he is getting the fight. Canelo can fight someone good like trout on the undercard, get paid and build up the mega fight for september. GBP knows canelo hasnt beat anyone good and thats why they are trying to build it up. Freaking Canelo has an ego problem

Some fans stoop to any lengths to give credit to nothing. The fact is Floyd Mayweather sells ppv's no matter who his opponent is & who's on the undercard.

The only reason ginger is asking for a guarantee is because they know he must fight a real jr welterweight before Floyd to lend credibility to the baseless hype. And they know he isn't guaranteed a win against the higher tier, so if they're gonna fight a top jr middleweight like Trout, they want a guarantee, a cushion for when & if he loses.

Lol at stick to his guns. The kid brings a pellet gun to an assault rifle gunfight. He's never headlined a credible ppv & his whole career is all hype, no substance. Don't disrespect the sport & Floyd for this guy.

                    Edit for Kiaba.
