Anyone else notice Max's change in demeanor after Kov said he was punishing Pascal?

Max is always weird. Kovalev sounded more of a scumbag by talking like that and I think it reflects badly on him, especially when someone he fought has died as well according to reports.

I prefer Kovalev over Chikenson though.

You guys are probably right. He was more than likely turned off by the fact that Kovalev admitted that he wanted to inflict as much damage as possible and that he embraced that ill will towards opponents. Probably makes things worse considering he killed someone prior.

He might have knew since the beginning. I don't think they even give ringside/in-ring credentials to fighters who are just attending the event. So obviously an executive from HBO or a promoter escorted him to the ring.

Yes. I don't remember it like it was yesterday. Maybe he was trying for a KO in the 12th. The fact remains that Hopkins and Kovalev are friends.

I like Max, he's a great analyst. But he needs to remember where boxers come from. They aren't your average athletes from NBA/NFL. These guys, well some of them anyway, were pure monsters growing up. They beat people up for fun, join gangs and usually come from broken homes.

How are you so sure they are friends? Because they "greet" each other every time they cross paths? That's called mutual respect, but I doubt they are friends.
