At the end of last week, my coach said he wants me to start sparring on Monday, which is today.
Now this is not my first time sparring, I've sparred before in the same gym, but I've been away from the gym for a year and just came back on July 1st. Basically, I haven't been punched in over a year and was wondering what should I do to prepare myself for this. Should I do some light running today a few hours before I go to the gym, or should I relax until I go to the gym. I haven't sparred in a long time so I'm really excited.
