The chances are, it might end up with the exact same result again. Is there a possibility that Sonny Liston cleans Shavers' clock in one-round? Absolutely yes, and if an individual holds that opinion, it doesn't make them a lunatic or a pothead either. Liston was a known one-round KO artist to boot. He did annihilate Floyd Patterson in consecutive first round KO's, not to mention in the bout previous to his title shot against Patterson, Liston obliterated Albert Westphal in one round also. I wouldn't put it past Liston to flatten Shavers' within a minute, he was such a phenomenal puncher.

Ok, listen. I got nothin against Liston, nothin against Shavers. As I mentioned in the preface of this thread that all of u guys are perfectly allowed to express your feelings about the match. I just said Shavers gettin KO'd is improbable, not impossible. Lets forget about this short skirmish and get workin on our match results, shall we?

IRISH LULLABY, please post your match results please.

The same goes for others too.

I have no idea why you put guys like Mccline and Kirk Johnson on here when they never beat anybody in their careers never even won a title!!! Tim Witherspoon???

The list stinks without these former champs:

        Primo Carnera
        James Braddock
        Frank Bruno
        David Haye
        Nikolai Valuev
        Tommy Morrison

Id also include Oliver Mccall over Lastarza.

Primo Carnera may be a former champ, but he has no credibility in my eyes after that match with Max Baer

Tommy Morrison? Kirk Johnson is better anyday.
But all the others, I must agree, excellent choices. I'll keep that in mind when making the next tournament

Carnera wasn't a great fighter, but the Baer fight is the one that should earn him the most respect in my opinion. He got his ass kicked but he never quit or stopped trying. If nothing else the guy had heart.

Agreed. But since this thread was not made for the fighters with the best heart, so.................., Carnera doesn't figure in this list.
