THIS is HUGE NEWS for Boxing in Canada! MASSIVE!

OCTOBER 25th, right before Halloween, Professional Boxing is returning to the Maple Leaf Gardens!

The once "Mega Hotspot" for Boxing in Canada, (and Pro Wrestling) and former home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, (now called the Mattamy Athletic Centre) will play host to a NEW Boxing Promotion in Canada! And in their first ever Main Event, Canadian Heavyweight Champion Neven Pajkic will face Éric Martel Bahoéli for the Canadian Heavyweight Title!

I have also heard that Jim Gentle is working with Global Legacy Boxing putting this show together, and that News is also HUGE! For those who don't know who Jim Gentle is, he is by far the very best Boxing Promoter in the greater Toronto area since the legendary Vince Bagnato! Stele Promotions which Jim had owned, helped build a ton of Boxing talent from the Toronto area for years, and literally carried the sport in Ontario up until a few years back when Stele closed up business. Ironically that's when Boxing Shows really started to take a nose dive in Toronto as well! Also, when Vince Bagnato, who was the top promoter here back in the days of Clyde Gray and George Chuvalo passed on, it was Jim Gentle who took over the Shaw Festival of Boxing Fundraiser at Toronto's famed Fairmont Royal York Hotel, which has been as successful as it was under Vince Bagnato, and has easily brought in millions of dollars for the Shaw Festival since Jim Gentle has been working on those shows as well.

This is exactly what Professional Boxing in Toronto, Ontario, Canada NEEDS to get back up, onto it's feet again. And Jim Gentle is just the man who can fix what a lot of other, more recent Boxing Promotions in the Toronto area, have completely screwed up!

With all of the interest Boxing is getting these days (I literally have seen like 5 or 6 world class Boxing shows from the U.S.A.on Canadian TV, in the past couple of weeks for example, which has been unheard of over here for at least a decade or two anyways). The timing couldn't be any better for one of the very the Top Promoters in Canada to get things back on track, and start putting on great shows for the Boxing fans in Toronto, AGAIN!

Tickets for this Historic return of Boxing to the Maple Leaf Gardens (aka the Mattamy Athletic Centre) ARE ON SALE NOW!

Check out the links to Global Legacy Boxing's website and FaceBook page for more info...

Support your Sport and get you tickets today, before they run out!

Not too much on the go out west Nivek535 aside from Calgary had a show recently, and rumour has it that certain players in Vancouver are looking to build up Boxing over there...

                Neven Pajkic has retired!

With Neven Pajkic officially retiring with a record of 17-1, and the only loss being an early controversial stoppage versus Tyson Fury, the Canadian Heavyweight Boxing Title has been left vacant!

That won't last long though as in just a few weeks, Canada's Heavyweight Title once held by the likes of the Legendary George Chuvalo, will be up for grabs again at the old Maple Leaf Gardens, now known as the Mattamy Athletic Centre on October the 25th!

The new Main Event, still for the Heavyweight Championship of Canada will be...Dillon "Big Country" Carman versus Eric Martel "The Hammer" Bahoeli for the very recently vacated Canadian Heavyweight strap!
