That's a related aspect.

The thing is, this girl was afflicted by leukemia which is painful, she went through a chemotherapy which is painful and she has to suffer all the side effects of chemotherapy which is painful.

All the things she has to go through were painful but despite all those pains, she was made happy. I think it's the best part of the story.
