No im talking about the overhand that comes from 12 oclock to 6 oclock. Comes down onto the nose or collar bone from above. This is a true overhand, and its not used hardly ever anymore because its utter crap. In-fact you've probably never seen it before its used so little.

Is it the second weakest punch after the jab? (unless theres a left hand version of the same punch?)

It feels like its all speed and snap and you dont get the same body-weight behind it like with the hook or cross.
It's a fire and forget punch. And a great way to get countered. It's also the most common punch an angry drunk will throw in a bar fight. It has no place in boxing.

Overhand rights have no place in boxing?

Do you mean the punch Oisin Fa gan constantly tried to land against Khan? Kind of a windmill thing?

It's good for taller fighters that's fighting a guy that likes to duck down low, and put up a high gaurd, or for shorter fighters that are fighting taller guys that have a high guard.

Depending on the situation, it can be one of those shots your opponent doesn't see coming, and puts his lights out.

It sounds like you don't know what an overhand right is.
