  • Virgil Hunter is A Piece Of Shi*

he said angulo was a dead man for the canelo fight that he was passing out right up to the fight, yet he let the fight go on and didnt even stop it just let him get beat up. I cant stand Piece of shit trainers like this.

Just think about it this way what if angulo ended up like magomed (which could have been the case) how would you guys feels about him still letting the fight go on.

It's well known that angulo was dead at the weight for the canelo fight, but am sure angulo and his trainer both already had an understanding about how the fight would go. We don't know so it would be difficult to critise just the trainer for letting the fight continuing after knowing that angulo was suffering from weight problems.

Angulo looked "jorge kawhagi" slow in that fight. It was comical how incredibly slow he was against canelo.

You can't tell these guys not to get in the ring, they want that paycheck.

Not that I'm a Virgil Hunter fan, but at the end of the day, this is the prize fighting business, you don't fight, you don't get paid.

Well hunter said he passed out the day before the fight... maybe they went to see a doctor to make sure that he can fight the next day & gave them the go ahead.

Oh jeez I forgot for a second that Angulo was a grown ass man responsible for his own decisions. He took a fight that he knew he could barely make the weight because it was the biggest offer money wise. Thats all Hunters fault.

There is a pre fight questionnaire, remember the one Pacquiao said he shoulder was fine on? They probably said "no" to having any known medical problems.

Trainers actually work for the fighters, not the other way around. Look at the insight John Scully proved us in regards to how much against the catchweight he was for Dawson against Ward and how he knew Dawson was not fit to fight and wanted the fight to be cancelled but couldn't do anything about it because a). he's not the fighters manager b). he's not the fighters promoter c). he's not the fighters boss. This is the reality unless it's some young kid.

In a perfect world you would want the fighter and trainer to have a mutual respect and that the fighter should listen to his coach at all times, but these are all grown men and they make their own decisions.

Dawson - Ward was not a catchweight fight. It was at 168. They were both champions, Dawson moved down. The upside to that for Dawson is that he would be the undisputed 168 pound champ had he won. That is what is in it for Dawson to move down, if he fought at 175 and won, it would just be a title defense for him.

Agree with all of the other stuff though.

i mean thats boxing the part we dont see we just take for granted what these fighters go thru sometimes to make weight. its not like this is uncommon if trainers didnt let their fighters fight every time they went thru hell to make weight we wouldnt have hardly any fights. its just another thing we as boxing fans take for granted that we dont fully understand. for instance a boxer does everything he can to make weight doesnt and without knowing we instantly call the fight un professional or lazy or fat whatever it may be. we dont seem to care what that fighter might have to or had already gone thru to make weight. just crazy the stuff the fans dont see i mean when a guy looks like hes about to die weighing in its prob because they are literally close to death in some ways
