Are these gloves any good for full contact sparring?

who is chip,he didnt like them,that does not mean you wont,and i dont know who wrote the link,so i really dont care about what the link says,the usage and longevity of the glove along with the comfort level is entirely up to the user,no member or link is going to persuade me otherwise

You know your mind, i like that! I was just saying the company Londsdale on the packaging of the gloves says the gloves are for light sparring.

I have to admit the 12oz gloves seem to fit and feel ok, so i dont think they are that bad to be honest feel wise. But i think i will take the 10oz back and change for the 12oz.

I doubt your coach would let you spar with 10oz or 12oz. I have fairly small hands aswell and the 10oz were really tight and uncomfortable, you can tell they are poor quality from the moment you put them on. Hitting focus pads will be alright with them, but Id still get some better quality gloves for general training.

When you start sparring alot Id invest in some more expensive gloves or use the gyms gloves. The gloves Met-Rx posted are good.



Yeah I think they are, I bought the 8oz ones and they were so small I went back and traded for the 10oz, which were also small but just about fit. Either way the gloves suck as do most of the boxing equipment found in general sports stores like sports direct. Online specialist shops are the only place to find good equipment imo.

Fair enough man, they'll do alright if you are just starting out I guess but trust me when I say you'll feel the difference when you buy a better pair of gloves, not even anything expensive, theres just something off with those lonsdale gloves. Lonsadale stuff isnt bad in general just those particular gloves are horrible.

Fairly cheap and so much better in quality, pretty durable aswell Ive been using them for just under a year, great for bag work, padwork and everything in between (except sparring). They do em from 10oz - 16oz and I use 10oz for general training and 16oz for bagwork, but they're not for sparring as there isnt much cushioning whatsoever even in the 16oz.

Them gloves look pretty crappy IMO but it all depends what you use them for, wouldnt use them for sparring or bag work.

I bought a pair of $100 everlast gloves, lasted 3 months. Now I use Cleto Reyes they are still going strong after 6 months.

This is sad because when you buy gloves, you expect to be able to do 3 things with them. ANd that is pad work, heavy bag work, or sparring.

But as long as i can use these for focus mitts i think i will be happy man.

Well you shouldnt really use the same gloves for the heavy bag that you use for sparring either, your sparring partners wouldnt be too happy.

That's right, those heavybags wear out training gloves much faster than using them in sparring.

Unless you're only hitting water or water/foam bags.

seriously they're obviously kids gloves.......my 5 year old nephew has a pair....he had the 6's i couldn't fit my hand in the ****s
