i do..it makes your knuckles harder but you just cant punch it as long
are you kidding who told you it makes your knuckles harder, properly wrapped hands should be a priority when it comes to boxing,at no time should a boxer hit th ebag heavy or speed without hand wraps and boxing gloves
I hit blocks of different materials like the bonus game in Mortal Kombat. Wood and stone break too easy, steel is good for people under 150lbs. I do 3 rounds on a block of ruby.
with handwraps on, i do very lighth bag work every once in a while just to toughen up my knuckles a little bit. dont throw any power shots or anything like that

You do know that wearing gloves will still build calluses on your hands and give you tougher skin over time ?, doing it bare handed is just silly and will increase chances of damaging your hands.
I would never even punch it without handwraps, let alone bare-knuckled. I wear gloves in competition, so why do I need calloused knuckles? Makes no sense.
when you shoulder roll you have to keep your elbow tucked and bent..that arm is meant to protect you from the body shots..sad that i actually have to explain this
this is the same guy who said he punches wooden fences
