    So?
Pure disrespect. Mayorga was much better than a journeyman, is this trolling? wow.

He was a good welterweight champ many years ago. THESE DAYS HE FIGHTS ABOUT ONCE EVERY 18 MONTHS. HE BEATS BUMS AND LOSES TO ANYBODY VERY GOOD. I GUESS YOU COULD CALL HIM A VERY INACTIVE JOURNEYMAN.

Maybe he was a gatekeeper...he wasnt a journey man.
He did loose to cotto, mosley, tito, and mosley but all these guys are gonna be hall of famers....the spinks fight was couldve went either way

He did defeat former champs and win titles at two weights....if he was a journeyman he wouldnt have made it that far

Kinda like judah he beats c level guys, most b level guys but hardly gets the w at the top level

Well if you stop right there you've already answered your own question in the negative. Journeymen can't fit that as it is.

Mayorga was a sick talent who just didn't know how to punch correctly. Speed, power, good chin, he just slapped alot with his punches but when he did connect a punch correctly it hurt fighters. Mayorga main problem was he never understood what it was he did when the got fighters hurt so he could work on repeating throwing his punches that way. A two time, two weight champion who never know how to throw his punches correctly, thats no journeyman, thats a sick talent.

A tough, crazy and highly entertaining guy.

Technically speaking he was a caveman.

But I really enjoyed watching him fight and his interviews.

He was not a journeyman - just someone who made the most out of limited talent, big balls and a bad-ass attitude.

More people like him in boxing would definitely make the sport more entertaining.

Glorified means he appeared better than what he was. Glorified journeyman means he was an overrated journeyman.

Mayorga is a bigger, stronger version of Maidana who hits harder and has a better chin. His best wins at 147 are also better than any current WW champion.
