Gladiator and Braveheart are both good performances from them, but I much prefer Gladiator.

Mel isn't that good of a director either.Braveheart was good but overrated, Apocalypto was iiiight, and Passion of the Christ was the biggest bunch of anti semitic bull**** to ever grace the screen.

I don't dislike Mel as an actor though. He's pretty decent at times.

I prefer Gibson. Mel is the man. I don't really like Crowe that much. He irritates me.

Crowe is in very good movies. Mel Gibson makes movies good with his character.

It's obviously not quite that cut and dry. Crowe is a phenomenal actor, Gladiator is an epic movie and Russell gives the movie a subdued intensity which can create an epic scene under the right circumstances.

But come on. Mel Gibson is actually a crazy mother fu(ker that could be a Mad Max in another universe.
