This place was (and is) utterly ridiculous.
Cotto was so overrated on here.

      Even after the Margarito loss.

        Corrales
        Hatton

        Cotto's fought the better fighters.
the bottom 4 of cotto are worthless, dont try to justify. cotto got knocked out by pac, mayweather gave pac a boxing lesson. mayweather also fought hernandaz. if you are going to put someone like foreman for cotto than mayweather can have gatti on his list. ortiz and maidana are better then torres or quintana. they both fought the ginger with ginger losing to money and ginger punking down cotto.

mayweather over all the better fighter and resume. and i hate mayweather.

He fought Shayne Mosley, margarito and pacquio when they were all absolute beasts. He even gave Floyd bloody hell and Floyd himself said cotto was his toughest. He'll cotto even fought Canelo at caneloweight with a full three more years experience after he fought Floyd.

Floyd fought all these guys, except margarito of course, in compromised form.
Cotto lost to Manny and the 1st Margarito fight badly. Cotto also lost to Canelo. Why should he get credit for loses? It makes no sense. I like Cotto but his resume ain't all that. Mosley, Judah, Clottey, Geale, etc. is good but not great. Cotto arguably lost the Clottey fight and he lost to Trout.

              • miguels record against top fighters

                canelo- lost convincingly wide UD
martinez (a crippled old man)- won
                mayweather- lost convincingly wide UD
                trout- lost convincingly wide UD
margarito (prime version)- lost badly, beaten and stopped
                clottey- controversial win- split decision
pacquiao- lost badly, beaten and stopped
mosley- his only decent win and he won by 1 round.

this is a world class CV is it? better than mayweathers 49-0 where if we compare opponents from the above list...

                canelo- Wide UD
                Pacquiao- wide UD
                Cotto- wide UD
                Mosley- wide UD.

                  • Interesting.

Cotto fought a prime Pac, Marg, Canelo, Martinez (pretty much shot and injured but most had Cotto as underdog) and a better version of Mosley (than both Pac and May). He officially holds only 2 wins from that grouping, although imo he beat Canelo too.

Mayweather fought a prime Castillo, Corrales and...I dunno, Judah?

Cotto has the better resume but Floyd has the wins.

I'm still trying to figure out how anyone with any semblance of intelligence could deem Cotto as having a better resume at any point in time.

                      I'm seriously baffled.
