If Mayweather does not take steps to reverse the negative trend in his reputation he stands a chance of turning an undefeated record (upon retirement) become totally meaningless, and he would be hounded with the question "Why did you duck a fight with Manny Pacquiao?" even as he is being inducted into the Hall of Fame after he has retired years from now.

Two things about your post shock me. First: you are stupid enough to believe Lying Bob Arum when he says that he and Pacquaio have agreed to all terms demanded by Mayweather when both Mayweather and a Showtime executive say they are still negotiating terms.

Second, you are stupid enough to think that the opinions stated on this message board are representative of the majority of boxing fans. The fans who post on this board represent 1/1000th of one percent of total boxing fans. The only place Mayweather's legacy is tarnished is on a message board frequented by 1/1000th of one percent of all boxing fans.

The only legacy that you should be worried about is the guy who is currently on an All-Journeymen tour of boxing (Rios, Algieri, Vargas) ....
