Has anyone ever got very Ill from a local anesthetic?

Big Operation tomorrow, Have to go under anesthetic.
Last time I had an op on my ribs and bone marrow they put me out with a local, I was ****ed for days,
Vomiting violently.

They doing it again tomorrow even though it ****ed me up bad last time,
Pretty serious op im not worried about that,
its the anesthetic I'm worried about.

Anyone experienced this?

No a local, I've never even heard of a general anesthetic?

I always thought a general anesthetic was used for putting you unconsciousness and a local was just for numbing a specific area......

Well they are knocking me out either way, I dunno much about it so maybe they are using the general to knock me out and local to knumb the area,
All's I remember last time was being ill and they said it was a bad reaction to the local anesthetic.

I have to have my heart stopped and restarted again tomorrow,
Cause it is out of rhythm I only found out recently.

Then later that day they are gonna do the op on my ankle

Damn that sounds pretty serious. But yeah unless your very old/young then the chances of suffering any serious ill effects from the anesthetic is extremely low.

Its not that serious, sounds more serious then it is.
My dad has it had a done a few times,
My best mate who was cousin died a few years back from SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome),
He was only 18 at the time and it happened out of nowhere,
All the family where called in for tests and we still get them every six months,
Called a stress test, they screen your heart and your run on a treadmill for a half hour and stuff.
Said I have an irregular heart beat few weeks back,
They say its nothing serious.
I hope not!
They making me sign a consent from that if anyone goes wrong its not on there back but the chances are like 100/1
