because theres lots of pro, lots of anti. other people say hes the best.
other people also say hes bad. (which one is telling the truth? which one to believe?)
duterte also said hes the best but if he had only not declared martial law and not stayed for so long

You can say the exact same things of almost every other
President we have ever had, from Cory Aquino to her son.

What you can NOT say about almost every other President
is that they were great at giving speeches. If we go back
further in time, based on surviving film clips and accounts
of observers, Manuel Quezon was far better than Marcos
at oratory, relative to the styles popular in their times.

If written accounts are to be believed, even Quezon would
be annihilated in a head-to-head vs. his old KKK supremo,
Andres Bonifacio ...who was technically our first President.

Among the worst orators may have been Emilio Aguinaldo.
His inaugural was "read as if by a schoolboy", "timidly and
without cadence", wrote French and British newsmen who
were covering the event, in Barasoain Church in Bulacan.

how about cory, what did she really do when she became president? some people say she did nothing.. was she overrated/overhyped?

It's hard to judge Cory's term.

Certainly, with the massive popular mandate she had,
both domestic and foreign, much more could've been
accomplished... and this was the CW even back in '89,
with such commentary coming from the likes of regional
heavyweights like Lee Kwan Yew, but...

As a major-transition caretaker, she did little harm.
Stole a little here and there: see Hacienda Luisita in
the thick of CARP, via Dante Buscayno's RRP, but I
guess her biggest mistakes were setting terrorists
free --call it naivete or virtue-signalling for the
approval of the foreign liberal elite, it was still a big
mistake-- and pulling the Marines out of KIG, and
passing up the opportunity for G7 to cancel a lot
of PH external debt.

I can't forgive her for imposing her daughter on
the country, though.
