Really? It's a shame that such a simple concept could be "beyond" your comprehension. When multiple normally credible sources print an article saying the same thing, people are bound to believe it. It wasn't the National Enquirer.

By "this" I meant magazines bull****ting, by claiming some scientist "said" something and not even mentioning a name is obviously a bit strange.

The trouble with climate change is that it has been hijacked by people with an agenda. But just because luddites and hippies are promoting it, doesn't mean it isn't true.

There is a consensus among climate scientists today that the trend is an increase in temperature. Charlatans like Al Gore are not helping the issue.

Regarding the Great Global Warming Swindle, this has not been well recieved by scientists

Professor Sir John T Houghton FRS CBE described the film as

a mixture of truth, half truth and falsehood put together with the sole purpose of discrediting the science of global warming

I am sure that film upset quite few people...and I am aware not all of it's "science" is accurate.. It does prove beyond a reasonable doubt though, That a Consensus does not exist in the scientific community about the causes of Global warming nor the consequences..

When the founder of Greenpeace is saying The Environment is nothing more than an industry now .. You kind of have to take notice..

A consensus does exist though. The overwhelming majority of scientists involved in climate based sciences are of the opinion that anthropogenic climate change is a fact and that it will have far reaching consequences. This film (which was produced and directed by a man who has a track record of misleading documentary films) has taken data out of context, made things up, and generally been fairly deceitful in pursuing its agenda.

In fact in responding to complaints about the Channel 4 documentary OFCOM (the telecommunications industry watchdog in the UK) actually concluded that the documentary does not cause harm to its audience because:

the link between human activity and global warming... became settled before March 2007
The director responded to an email from a geneticist called Armand Leroi expressing concern about the use of data known to be flawed with the single sentence:

                  You're a big daft ****
Evidently the filmmaker is serious about presenting and exploring the facts.

The Filmmaker perhaps.. But the people in the film say what they say.. they are scientists and therefore a consensus does not exist ..
