I know you say new generation yet you have Matts up there who has similar ko ratio to Maidana and has been in the game about as long...

Puzzling the exclusion of Maidana..

Because imo Maidana is on the downside. He's been in a lot of wars and he's not going to be around a whole lot longer.

Matthysse first, with Golovkin a close second. I don't really think Golovkin is a power puncher in the same way that Matthysse is, though. Matthysse can put you to sleep with one clean shot, whereas Glovokin tends to wear guys down with the acuracy of his power.

Two totally different kinds of power punchers, IMO.

ggg, stevenson and donaire are my favourite punchers out of that list. ggg is the best puncher in terms of not only having sheer power but being able to get in position, set up and deliver his punches with skill and intelligence.

in terms of just pure power alone its either him, matthysse, stevenson or donaire. between those guys its hard to tell though. i think kovalev and thurmans power is overrated.
