Everyone in cycling at the elite level is dirty. Lance just got caught and his high profile status and popularity just made this whole ordeal bigger than it would have been had he not been such a big public figure.

The reality is Lance is a special athlete. Who is not only incredibly gifted athletically (even without steroids) but battled adversity with Cancer. All of this and he won 7 TDF titles. Given how dirty cycling is, and Lance is the only guy to be able to win that many titles and dominate the sport for that long, that says more about Lance as an athlete than what he was putting in his body.

I will still recognize and acknowledge his accomplishments, even if he did cheat.

So not only did he cheat and lie under oath, he also committed fraud.

That's without even getting into the fact that he successfully sued for libel a paper that claimed he cheated. He's going to be broken and ruined for being a cheat and a fraud and a liar.

But he only has that "kind of money" because he lied and cheated and defrauded his way to it.
he also has it because he trained like a motha ****a, and to be honest who gives a **** that he lied, i hope he stays rich, the money and aid hes sent to millions dieing of cancer more then makes up for his lie in my oppinion

For me it isn't just the cheating, it's the fact that he's been so litigious.

People want him in Jail because they believe he cheated to get to be as great and as popular as he is and with his powerful status as an athlete started a foundation to make ****loads of money based on lies and fraudulence.

People who say that have a point, but I don't see Lance as a guy, even though he is a cheat, that he started the Livestrong foundation just to make himself rich.

but the truth is alot of those cancer survivors treatments probbably had some money from livestrong.

more damage then good? i think not.

he help millions of people directly world wide, he inspired many people to do many things.

sure his resume is tainted, but **** it, the guy is more then sports,

because i personally dont care about how fast a man can ride a bike,
but the fact that the money raised from his foundation has saved lives id say he MORE then makes up for a dopeing charge
What part of "more damage than good for the sport" made you think i was talking about the work for cancer research? That charity work wasn't without gain for Armstrong either, it made him much more famous and no doubt that helped him gain financially.

Cycling in the 90s was the most doped out sport on the planet so it's very likely that a majority his competitors were also doping like crazy. Yet he was still vastly superior to the rest of the PEDdlers.

              See what I did there?
Its true, basically all of his rivals have since been doping. I think its about time they just let them do it.

I always thought it would be like OJ Simpson, that everyone knows he's guilty as charged but still he's still "innocent" in his wn way

Bringer I think you were just being facetious with him curing cancer with PEDS, but it's actually crossed my mind quite a few times, what growth hormone and other drugs could do.....imagine it's the cure, we will soon see 80 year olds muscle bound and able to ride bikes up hills for 100+ miles

I actually defended this guy and he lied to world, now I'm wondering if drug testing is useless.
