  • Is Emanuel Steward the Bill Parcells of boxing ? ?

Emanuel Steward is one of the best trainers in boxing ( if not the best trainer ) . Like Parcells , Emanuel Steward knows how to turn something around he'd turned
Thomas Hearns from a light punching fighter to a power puncher . He's helping Miguel Cotto out and also changed Lennox Lewis's career .

Is there any other boxers style he changed ? What do you like about Emanuel Steward ?

They both dominate there respective sports through coaching.

They both are loosely linked to controversies.

Several fighters accusing Manny of steroid use.

Patriots getting in trouble for video taping other teams practices.

        Bill's a little worse.

Yes, for DECADES, EMANUEL STEWARD worked wonders with many boxers and the end results have been stunning. After LENNOX LEWIS was knocked out by a then Steward-trained fighter, he sought Steward's guidance. STEWARD took over trainingLennox and singlehandedly led LENNOX LEWIS to become a great Heavyweight Champion and IBOF member. After JULIO CAESAR CHAVEZ, (Sr.) suffered defeat at the hands of FRANKIE RANDALL, Steward was brought in and Chavez easily won the rematch. CHAVEZ, (Sr.), also KO'd Meldrick Taylor under Steward's tutelage.

In 1983, AARON PRYOR, (Sr.), sought Steward's help after his loss to Alexis Arguello. Aaron's former trainer, Panama Lewis, had originally trained him for the Arguello fight--he was in prison while the rematch loomed. Pryor trained with Steward and exhibited great talent as a defensive boxer and scored a surprisingly easy victory over Arguello during the rematch.

In 1993, Steward was brought in to assist EVANDER HOLYFIELD in his rematch against Riddick Bowe. Under Steward's astute training, Holyfield defeated Riddick Bowe--the only fight HOLYFIELD would win in the 3-fight Bowe vs. Holyfield Trilogy. (Steward trained him for the second of the three fights).

Steward completely resurrected the career of his current World Heavyweight Champion, WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO, and when OSCAR De LA HOYA won a close decision over Pernell Whittaker, Steward was brought in to help resurrect De LA HOYA'S career and get it back on track.

In 1996, Sports Illustrated featured an article on Emanuel Steward entitled: "The Hired Gun". This story featured his expertise in coming in and "resurrecting and correcting" the careers of numerous boxers who had NOT come out of his legendary Kronk Gym in Detroit.

WRONG MANNY--Emanuel Steward has never been accused any type of steroid drama. Manny PACQUAIO has had unproven, unsubstantiated allegations of steroid use leveled at him, primarily from the Mayweather camp.

Pryor never lost to Arguello. He beat him both times.
