Why do you think they moved him above Kovalev though?

Exactly as it should be. Ward proved he's still a top 5 p4p, but he didn't do nearly enough to grab #1 spot from Roman.

to try and please both sides. almost everyone had kov winning so if they moved ward to #1 that would look bad and anger many but at the same time they want to cater to ward in order to get access to him so they moved him up slightly instead of taking a stand and moving kov up for beating ward they chose the pansy poliltical decision.

Almost everyone? Why do you guys feel the need to lie?

Pacquaio-Bradley 1, that's "almost everyone" having the loser winning.

A quarter of press row had Ward winning.

Plenty of fans had Ward winning.

And most of press row that did have Kovalev winning had it extremely close on the cards.

Even if you think the fight was a draw/close decision for Kovalev you have to keep in mind that Ward was moving up in weight and to even be competitive and win the majority of rounds after the knockdown is a feat worthy of a p4p bump up.

The comparisons to Pac-Bradley 1 are hilarious. Those scorecards received immediate, thunderous, virtually universal panning from fans and media alike.

Ward-Kovalev on the other hand was a not especially popular decision in general but one that many boxing notables have supported.

Respect to the ring : Chocolatito would of destroyed Ward on that night -- Krusha just stared at Ward all night and got pot shot into a L ; RG would of took the WAR to Ward and had him out especially after the knockdown #levels.

just because you say "almost everyone" had kovalev winning over and over doesnt mean that its true

give it up.....there is a huge thread where people are actually posting their scorecards and explaining them....from what i saw many had ward winning by 1-2 points, a few draws and some for Kov....about 1-2 point swing

also all of the pro trainers and boxers were pretty split....depending on who you asked and what swing rounds the credited

"almost everyone" is not accurate, nor is it true.....deal with it

the fight was no robbery and Ward beat the man fair and square...he simply won more rounds

Ward over Kovalev or vice versa is hard to call. Ward has slightly better record but you are going back five (Froch) and seven (Kessler) years to find those superior wins.

In the intervening period, against mid level competition, Kovalev has arguably beaten that competition more impressively than Ward has.

Can you really bitch about people having one over the other? I don't think so. And I don't think "P4P King" really means anything for either when the title is so disputed.
