  • Bhop has been ranked by the Ring's top 10 pound 4 pound for 10 years!

That's pretty damn impressive if you ask me. He was ranked in:
    2009
    2008
    2007
    2006
    2004
    2003
    2002
    2001
    2000
    1999

The only year was 2005 when he lost two razor sharp decisions to Jermain Taylor.

The only other fighter who has done that is Roy Jones:
    2003
    2002
    2001
    2000
    1999
    1998
    1997
    1996
    1995
    1994
    1993

    **edit**
And of course mayweather was ranked from 1998 to 2008

Pernell Whitaker had 9 years ranked top 10.

Pretty damn impressive. Though if you ask me, in terms of legacy, Hopkins > Jones.

Hopkins always gets the benefit of the doubt. He lost twice to Taylor and was still ranked. There is always Hopkins dick riders on all lists. I ain't hating, I'm just saying.

Well no if you read my thread you'll see that in 2005, the year he lost to Taylor twice, was the one year he was not ranked top ten.

              BHop > Roy Jones Jr.
              BHop > Joe Calzaghe
              BHop > Jermain Taylor

All these in term of legacy, pretty impressive to have a better legacy than those who beat you.

My mistake. But he still gets alot of love when other prospective p4pers are not shown the same love. He gets even more now that he can pick and choose who he fights, now that he's in GBP.
