WESTMORELAND COUNTY -- Pennsylvania State Police are trying to piece together the puzzling death of a motorcyclist in Westmoreland County.According to police reports, William Mark Amos, 47, of Export, was riding on Route 819 in Salem Township when the deer crossed into his path on Friday morning.The bike collided with the deer about 100 yards south of Ridge Road.But police said that Amos had a gunshot wound to the head and that a gun was also recovered at the crash scene.Police said Amos, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene

Yes, clearly the deer shot him off the bike and couldn't avoid the collision, so he got hit.

That's idiotic. What do think they have forensic science for? They can figure out in 30min whether he and the deer collided, maybe less.

there needs to be more info on this; they should've done the prints on the gun to rule out suicide and state it clearly in the article. I'm thinking about the situations you mentioned here and its funny. But the thing is what kind of gunshot was it to the head, what kind of bullet. Some people get shot in the head and do survive, and some may not even know whether they're hit. Maybe this strange incident was the guy was being chased for something he did or didn't do, collided with the deer, then the chaser caught up, shot him dead, left the gun, poof.
